Let me tell it to you straight. If you’re spending an amount of time job hunting jobs online the old-fashioned way, you’re wasting your time. The reasons can be simple. Its purely a numbers game. And unfortunately, it’s not working for you. The two biggest job hunting online services are Monster and HotJobs. Forget about the concept that posting your resume on the two sites lead to anything. Monster claims to have as much as 20 million resumes on its database. It’s easy to post your resume on job sites. We all like to take the easiest route. But, unless you plan to spend some time the job market, I wouldn’t plan on any services to come up with something that’s just right for you, in a reasonable amount of time. To those people who are for the alternative job search know there’s a much better way. When you take a non-traditional career advancement approach, you focus on identifying hiring decision-makers in organizations that are consistent with your interests. If you rethink your campaign by going after targeted hiring decision-makers in companies, then job hunting online, can be very helpful.
